For those who can't disable flatpackes due to having one or more installed,
this post on Reddit

by u/danievdm solves that by renaming the flatpak-backed.so file. For Neon,
it's located in /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/qt5/plugins/discover/. This leaves
us with a working again Discover, but all Flatpacks will have to be manually
checked and updated until this issue is fixed.
This needs to be a critical importance rather than a HI normal, Discover is
absolutely useless for those of us who use flatpaks.
