1. export HTTPS_PROXY=https://xxxxxxxx
2. kdesrc-build ktexteditor
3. waiting
OBSERVED RESULT
extremely slow on Third World country's internet
EXPECTED RESULT
Use the HTTPS_PROXY to git clone the source, it's much faster
