            Bug ID: 445290
Summary: Using device profiles for import
           Product: digikam
           Version: 7.3.0
          Platform: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Import-Settings
          Assignee: digikam-bugs-n...@kde.org
          Reporter: fuc...@ukr.net
  Target Milestone: ---

Current situation with import from Android devices is quite awkward.
Import module by default syncs a lot of junks such as call records, images from
applications (e.g. Whatsapp) and other trash.

What it is impossible to do now:
1. Skip from the import an undesirable directory
2. Collapse directories content (you have to scroll hundreds of images to reach
the next directory)
3. Preserve the directory structure (e.g. if I choose for import _Directory-1_
& _Directory-2_, then assign the destination album _My-Phone_, all images will
be imported in this album without creating corresponding sub albums (sub
directories ))
4. Remember this settings for future imports.

It would be nice to manage these things via Device Profiles which should
contain setting *WHAT* and *WHERE* I want to import.
