Bug ID: 443509 Summary: [NVIDIA] No Blur and rounded avatar in log-in screen when resumed from suspend Product: kscreenlocker Version: unspecified Platform: Archlinux Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: samping...@gmail.com CC: bhus...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 142277 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=142277&action=edit Picture showing no effects in log-in screen when resuming from suspend SUMMARY No Blur and rounded avatar in log-in screen when resumed from suspend. Only occurs with a NVIDIA GPU. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Sleep the computer. 2. Resume from suspend. 3. The log-in screen doesnt have blurring or rounded avatar effects. OBSERVED RESULT When you follow the above steps, you would see that there is no blurring or rounded avatar when the log-in screen appears after resuming from suspend (as shown in the attachment picture). This doesnt occur when logging in after locking the system but only after suspend. I have also tested this in a NVIDIA Prime setup using my integrated GPU for desktop rendering and the log-in screen, after resuming, had no issues. I have tested this with Plasma 5.22.5 and 5.22.90 and both have this issue. EXPECTED RESULT When resuming from suspend, the log-in screen should function the same way it functions when logging in after locking and show the effects properly with NVIDIA GPU and proprietary NVIDIA drivers.
