Problem should be fixed in digiKam-7.4.0. The cause was a faulty connection to
the QCompleter. Please test the pre-release AppImage from here:
https://files.kde.org/digikam/
Make a backup of your database in case you later want to switch back to an
older version, an update of the database is being carried out.
