There are 3 possible causes: 1) the driver doesn't support gamma ramps 2) some other software is changing the gamma ramps back (i.e kgamma, or redshift) 3) we have a bug in our code To rule out 1, can you run: xrandr -q --output DP-2 --gamma 1:1:0.5 and confirm your screen becomes a horrible shade of greeny-yellow. (where DP-2 is the name of your output from xrandr -q) Set everything back to 1 to rest.
