Graham Perrin <grahamper...@gmail.com> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |grahamper...@gmail.com --- Comment #1 from Graham Perrin <grahamper...@gmail.com> --- I have what's probably the same bug on FreeBSD 14.0-CURRENT. Typically: when I wake the notebook (HP EliteBook 8570p) from sleep after going from home to work (or vice versa) with a display on DisplayPort via an HP dock, it's necessary to rearrange the screens in software (the external display is physically to the left at home, to the right at work; in my case, Plasma does not detect this difference). At wake time: when I call up the dashboard, it appears on the correct screen (the same screen as the panel that includes the widget: my primary screen). After I rearrange screens, the bug: * a click on the widget presents the dashboard on a different screen. ---- Maybe relevant: both external displays have similar qualities (probably 1920x1080 by default) however they are different brands, and Plasma does not detect this difference after a change of location. For example: 1. boot the OS at home with a Philips display 2. prepare to sleep the OS (this includes killing kded5, reasons for which are off-topic) 3. sleep the OS, disconnect from the dock 4. place the notebook in the dock at work, with an HP display 5. wake the OS 6. the Display Configuration pane of System Settings misrepresents the HP display as the Philips display. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
