            Bug ID: 439862
Summary: cosmetic artifacts on canvas 5.0.0-prealpha (git
                    c75e336)
           Product: krita
Version: nightly build (please specify the git hash!)
          Platform: Microsoft Windows
                OS: Microsoft Windows
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: minor
          Priority: NOR
         Component: CPU Canvas
          Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org

Example of the dots, they change location

SUMMARY

When canvas is zoomed out, specifically so that the grey "table" area shows up,
square artifacts show up. The artifacts are of the previous canvas color (or
grey if we start with a white canvas) and their position is randomized. The
further zoomed out they are, the higher the saturation.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Simply opening the program and zooming the canvas out causes the artifacts
to show up.

Alternatively: zooming to 100% (Ctrl 0) and then zooming out with the scroll
wheel or by pressing the "-" key 5 times makes them show up.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- If I change the canvas color while already zoomed out, the artifacts aren't
made.
- They are mostly cosmetic and do not show up in the exported file
