Bug ID: 439546 Summary: Applets from a panel can be minimized via keyboard shortcut Product: kwin Version: 5.22.2 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: effects-window-management Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: gm...@ratijas.tk Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 139890 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=139890&action=edit KDE Plasma Application Launcher minimized SUMMARY Applets from a panel can be minimized via keyboard shortcut, including Application Launcher and Calendar. It shouldn't be possible, as it produces strange visual glitches/effects, and it does not make at all. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Set up keyboard shortcut for minimizing windows, like Cmd(aka Win aka Meta)+M. I think they are enabled by default in latest versions of KDE? 2. Open Application Launcher e.g. by pressing Cmd (aka Win aka Meta). 3. Press the window minimizing shortcut which was set up in step 1. OBSERVED RESULT Application launcher got its 'Magic Lamp' effect when minimizing and disappeared into void. Somehow, the effect (which should not happen in the first place) also depends on the cursor position. EXPECTED RESULT 'Minimize' action and any associated shortcut should not work on such applets.
