Please could you confirm that your keyboard shortcut config in Kate, under the
"tabswitcher" group has:
> Last Used Views = Ctrl+Tab
> Last Used Views (Reverse) = Ctrl+Shift+Tab
These are the default settings (for me) and they work for me.
