            Bug ID: 438875
Summary: Toggling the application launcher sometimes crashes
                    Plasmashell on Wayland
           Product: plasmashell
           Version: master
          Platform: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Application Launcher (Kickoff)
          Assignee: k...@davidedmundson.co.uk
          Reporter: geisse...@gmail.com
                CC: mikel5...@gmail.com, plasma-b...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: 1.0

SUMMARY
Making the (new) appliction launcher show up (by pressing the Meta key)
sometimes causes Plasmashell to crash on Wayland.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Spam Meta (or your custom keyboard shortcut to toggle the application
launcher) for some seconds to minutes, preferably shortly after login, when
there are lots of jobs taking up system resources.
-> Plasmashell will crash at some point (task bar disappears and returns
shortly afterwards)
2. Repeat point 1
-> Plasmashell will crash again, but this time it won't come back on its own -
open a terminal window and run the command `plasmashell --replace &` to get the
taskbar back

OBSERVED RESULT
Plasmashell crashes sometimes when attempting to toggle the application
launcher.

EXPECTED RESULT
Plasmashell shouldn't crash.
