There should be only one bug for bug report, not three.

Have you tried using Reference Images Tool? You probably imported it as a
reference image instead of as a layer.

It looks like it freezes for some reason, please attach Help -> Show Krita log
for bug reports. Also check if switching to the other Renderer in Configure
Krita -> Display helps.

Works fine for me. Do you expect the current selected layer to change when you
scroll in the Layers Docker?
