            Bug ID: 365226
Summary: Unable to change file type associations on KDE Neon
                    5.7 User Edition
           Product: neon
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Neon Packages
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: major
          Priority: NOR
         Component: stable packaging
          Assignee: neon-b...@kde.org
          Reporter: caip...@fastmail.fm
                CC: j...@jriddell.org, neon-b...@kde.org, sit...@kde.org

File type association changes aren't applied.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Try to change the default application to opening a file through the System
Settings or the "Open as..." context menu on Dolphin
2. Apply the changes
3. Double-click on a file of that type

Actual Results:
The file opens with the same application as before. The changes haven't been
applied.

Expected Results:
It should open with your custom entry.

I believe that this happened because it didn't ask me to enter my password.
Changing the file association by opening the system settings as root worked as
expected.
