            Bug ID: 435547
Summary: Search function is hidden by default windows size
           Product: frameworks-knewstuff
           Version: 5.80.0
          Platform: Archlinux Packages
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: ad...@leinir.dk
          Reporter: ircha...@airmail.cc
                CC: kdelibs-b...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
When using "get new stuff" (at least the one for plasma themes) I had to scan
the interface twice to make sure there wasn't a search function, so having ran
out of options I clicked at the three dots button expecting a new button just
to find the ONLY thing it was hiding is the search bar, so I think the current
setup is a bad for discoverability, someone could come to the conclusion that
there's just no search function as it's not featured by default.

I think the problem could be considered twofold:
1) Default size for the window is not big enough to display search bar even
when the monitor is big enough.

2) Despite the fact that the three dots button is hiding nothing more than the
search, its icon is not a magnifying glass, if it was, it'd be pretty easy to
determine there's a search function even if the default window isn't big enough
to display the search bar.
