Sometimes for a long period and sometimes for only one minute then Product: frameworks-networkmanager-qt Version: 5.80.0 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: jgrul...@redhat.com Reporter: daniele.doe...@gmx.de CC: lamar...@kde.org, lukas.ti...@merlin.cz Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 137275 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=137275&action=edit The log from KSystemLog a few seconds befor the popup to a few seconds after entering the password SUMMARY KDE wi-fi daemon pops up, sometimes up to every minute, and asks for password, despite it was already typed in and worked. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. connect to (unstable) wi-fi 2. wait OBSERVED RESULT While daily use, when the internet is unstable the wi-fi daemon pops up and ask for the password of the current connected wi-fi. EXPECTED RESULT The daemon should (re)connect quietly in the background, since the password is known. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS KDE Plasma Version: 5.21.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.80.0 Qt Version: 5.15.2 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION - The bug occurred also in older versions - The bug occurred on different machines with KDE installed - Currently my internet works by satellite so when the weather is bad the connection is as well. In this moments this bug happens the most and almost every minute. Is the connection stable I don't get asked and everything works as it should. - When connected with other networks this problem does not occur. - When connected with other devices (e.g. smartphone, or Windows PC) this problem does not occur. To describe the situation a bit clearer: Sometimes the KDE WiFi daemon pops up and ask me for the password for the current network despite I already typed it in and it worked for some time. After inputting it again it will work. Sometimes for a long period and sometimes for only one minute then I get the question again. When I close the window I don’t get a connection. If then I open the WiFi menu and click connect, it connects without asking for a password and it works for some time. On startup it also works as it should. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
