Bug ID: 435076 Summary: Audio applet queries input level for all microphones Product: plasma-pa Version: 5.21.3 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: applet Assignee: now...@gmail.com Reporter: agure...@protonmail.com CC: plasma-b...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY As a new feature of Plasma 5.21 (if I remember correctly), plasma audio applet shows microphone level for all microphones when opened. This causes an unpleasant experience when using Bluetooth headset as it forces to switch from A2DP profile to a headset irrespective of which microphone is selected. Probably it's possible only to get an input meter for selected microphone to avoid that? STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Select wireless headset as an output device (I'm using Plantronics Voyager 6200 UC with BT600 dongle) 2. Select camera or another microphone (Jabra Speak 710 for me) as an input device 3. Open Plasma Applet OBSERVED RESULT Plantronics Voyager 6200 switches to headset profile as the microphone input is requested EXPECTED RESULT Plantronics Voyager 6200 remains at A2DP profile when its microphone is not used as an input device SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Fedora 34 KDE (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.21.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.80 Qt Version: 5.15.2 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
