Bug ID: 434976 Summary: Switching to internal speaker impossible after unplugging default output Product: plasma-pa Version: 5.21.3 Platform: Fedora RPMs OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: applet Assignee: now...@gmail.com Reporter: ber...@codewiz.org CC: plasma-b...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY When the default output is unplugged (for example by disconnecting an external HDMI output), the applet correctly detects the unplug event and removes the output, but sound doesn't automatically switch back to the internal speaker. Furthermore, there's no way to switch manually because the radio buttons disappear when there's a single output left. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Connect an external HDMI monitor 2. Switch sound to the HDMI output using the radio buttons of the audio applet 3. Unplug the HDMI monitor OBSERVED RESULT - The HDMI output is removed (correctly) - The radio buttons are also removed (correctly, since there's a single output) - However, sound isn't playing through the internal speakers EXPECTED RESULT - Sound should either automatically switch to the only remaining output OR it should be possible to select it manually SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS KDE Plasma Version: 5.21.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.80 Qt Version: 5.15.2 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION NOTE: This is happening on Fedora 34 beta, which recently switched to PipeWire. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
