Thanks for your feature request! There are no plans to add such a feature to
kdenlive, because as you already mentioned "it's a video editor for *recorded*
AV content" and that is our main goal.
Btw the name is might a bit confusing concerning this… Kdenlive means "KDE
non-linear video editor" and has nothing to do with live-stream or broadcasting
