The one ending in .new is the one created after renaming the original one and saving changes to the settings. Just restarting krunner did not create a new krunnerrc. Krunnerstaterc is the file created after deleting the old one. Only the LaunchCounts entry differs from the old one, where it has a lot more entries. History does not work with the new setting files neither.
