SUMMARY
I have investment transactions where the action = Dividend and the actual
transaction was a dividend payment minus foreign taxes. I enter the dividend
category and amount in the Interest areas, the tax category and amount in the
Fees area and the program calculates the net Total.
When I run reports, I select "Hide Transactions" and select the a Filter by
Category of Dividend category, I get different results depending on my
"Organize by" selection. If I select Category or Top Category, the report shows
the correct gross dividend amount. If I select Account for the Organize by
selection, the amount on the report becomes the net amount of Dividend minus
Tax paid, which is wrong.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Enter a Dividend transaction with a fee amount
2. Run a transaction report with a selected Category for gross Dividend
category
3. Vary "Organize by" value between Category and Account
OBSERVED RESULT
The report totals change
EXPECTED RESULT
Report totals should remain the same, only the sorting should change.
