It was a bug in signond that has been fixed already, but that package didn't get a new release since 2 years ago. In the case of Alpine Linux I made sure the fix is available in our signond package and it indeed resolves the issue. KDE Neon will have to do the same, although I guess this package is taken from Ubuntu for them in which case it has to happen there.
