Bug ID: 428941 Summary: Cleanup tool to delete duplicated faces Product: digikam Version: 7.3.0 Platform: Ubuntu Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Faces-Maintenance Assignee: digikam-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: maes...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY Feature request Over the time I have been using several face detection and recognition algorithms including manual face tagging. Sometimes when the tolerance of yolo it to big the algorithm does not see that there already is a tagged face in that area. A cleanup tool would be nice to scan on one hand for pictures with multiple occurrence of the same person and on the other hand for faces in faces. The cleanup must be individual and not automatically as it may be correct to have the the same person multiple times on the same image. This my happen e.g. on colleges, mirrors or background photos. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Just mark manually the faces before running the face detection algorithm. Most of the time when surrounding the whole head instead of just the face, a second face is detected.
