I have the same bug on KDENLIVE 20.08.2 on Linux (Solus):
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Add a clip to "Library"
2. Insert clip from library to project
OBSERVED RESULT
Diplayed msg: "Cannot open file
/home/user/.local/share/kdenlive/library/file.mlt"
EXPECTED RESULT
Inserted clip.
note that this is not a file permissions problem (I checked) so something else
must be going on.
