You'll notice it will stop accepting input, and if you try to resize the window while the focus is out of whack, the border resizes but the content does not, as it's no longer updated. The bug is very random, and i recall it happening as far back as 5.12 Sadly because of how random it is you can go a while before even encountering it, and some developers here said they couldn't replicate the bug i assume due to that.
