The original problem has been resolved by disabling VSync in KWin compositor
settings. Disabling VSync in NVidia drivers didn't do any change. It seems like
KWin's take precedence over the driver's defaults.
The partial updates patch has also been merged and it reduces the delay a bit
in both modes: VSync on and off.
