It would be great if you could try pairing via bluetoothctl. If that works and
pairing from Plasma doesn't then we know there's something that needs fixing in
Plasma, if not the issue is somehere down in the stack.
It should work like this:
bluetoothctl
>scan on
>devices
Device <mac address> TheController
>pair <mac address>
