The closest to a crash with an inactive transform tool is if I were to use it, and close it a few seconds before the krita.exe has stopped working message. The message, btw, in full is, "Krita.exe has stopped working: A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.".
