            Bug ID: 423796
Summary: KWIN default shortcuts are blocking other firefox
                    shortcuts
           Product: kwin
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Archlinux Packages
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: minor
          Priority: NOR
         Component: input
          Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org
          Reporter: aaaj...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY

I'm not sure if this is the correct category but here it is.

On Croatian/Slovenian keyboard (I think it's also with Spanish keyboard,
probably some others from this region) the "`" symbol is on alt+7, and "~" is
on alt+1. Kwin uses alt+"`" and alt+"~" for some actions by default. Here is a

Now here is the problem, the alt+<number> shortcuts are used for Firefox and
Chrome/Chromium and every other browser. When these shortcuts are not removed
you can't switch to tab 1 and tab 7 on browsers while running KDE Plasma. I
have decided to report this as there isn't a lot of information on internet on
it and I've spent so much trying to understand what is going on.

I didn't think it was alt+symbol shortcut, I thought it was alt+number so I
tried to remap random action to alt+number and to remove it, but this only
persisted until reboot and the shortcut loaded again and again it didn't work.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Install KDE Plasma and any browser (eg. Firefox)
2. Switch to Croatian keyboard input
3. Open 7+ tabs and try to switch to anyone of them (you shoudn't be able to
switch to 1 and 7)

OBSERVED RESULT
Can't switch to tabs 1 and 7.

EXPECTED RESULT
can switch to tabs 1 and 7.
