            Bug ID: 422464
Summary: Drag and drop to symlinked folder fails with "already
                    exists"
           Product: plasmashell
           Version: 5.18.5
          Platform: PCLinuxOS
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: k...@davidedmundson.co.uk
          Reporter: kde.b...@kjpetrie.co.uk
                CC: plasma-b...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: 1.0

SUMMARY
If a file is dragged to a folder via a symbolic link a dialogue box opens
asking whether to rename it.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Create a symbolic link to a folder, eg ln -s Documents Desktop/Documents
2. Create a file on the Desktop eg touch Desktop/testfile
3. Drag testfile to the Documents link and select Move.

OBSERVED RESULT
A "File already exists" dialogue box opens offering to rename the link or
Cancel the move.

EXPECTED RESULT
The file would move to the target folder

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: 5.18.5
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version: 5.18.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.70.0
Qt Version: 5.12.7

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This is very annoying. I have links to folders specifically to facilitate
moving items to and from those folders with minimal effort to avoid typing long
paths or clicking them in Dolphin, and now I can't use them. It appears to be a
KDE problem rather than the underlying system as everything still works as
expected in LXDE.
