Comparaison between dolphin and kate filesystem browser plugin

Using the plugin "File System Browser" in "Tree view". 
I can't expand a directory when there is only files in it. Tree exploration is
showing the directory as if it was empty…

II just upgraded to Ubuntu 20.04 LTS
