Using the 4.2.9 appimage, I made a similar animation and the playback was fine
(but no audio playback with an appimage) and the rendered output was good.
This may be a macOS related problem.
Please provide the .kra file (or a link to it) and the audio file (or a link to
it) so that someone can test this on macOS.
Also, can you provide a video screenshot showing the problem?
Can you try this with the 4.3.0 beta-1 release?
