Bug ID: 421510 Summary: Windows with CSD are squished and have wrong size/position Product: kwin Version: 5.18.5 Platform: Fedora RPMs OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: decorations Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: johannespfrang+...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Flags: X11+ Created attachment 128450 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=128450&action=edit Spectacle "Window under Cursor" showing the issue SUMMARY Since sometime ~last week or around upgrading to Fedora 32 with Plasma 5.18 all applications using client side decorations are squished in non-maximized mode and have weird size (and position?). Screenshot attached created with Spectacle's "Window under Cursor"-options showing that the window is squished, too small in the x- and y-axis and even seemingly covers part of the left-adjacent monitor, even though it's snapped to the top-right of the monitor. All mouse interaction (in-application as well as window grabbing&resize) is off by approximately the amount of window the application is missing in positive x- and y-direction. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open an application (e.g. Firefox/Thunderbird with tabs-in-titlebar or the Peek screen recorder) 2. Unmaximize or snap a window to a monitor edge OBSERVED RESULT Window is squished. EXPECTED RESULT Window should not be squished.
