            Bug ID: 420621
Summary: Automated sorting via reverse geocoding (folder
                    structure)
           Product: digikam
           Version: 7.0.0
          Platform: Archlinux Packages
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Geolocation-Osm
          Assignee: digikam-bugs-n...@kde.org
          Reporter: k...@aschoettler.com
  Target Milestone: ---

If you take a lot of pictures with your smartphone, you will eventually lose
track of exactly where the picture was taken.

For digikam, a feature would be desirable that reads the geographic coordinate
of an image and thus performs a reverse search via OpenStreetMap and its
nominatim search (reverse geocoding).

The result would be an automated sorting of the images in the respective
subfolders according to nominatim search.

Example:
Hikes / Country / State / District / Sight
