Yes, that's fixed in later versions. And 4.0.1 is positively ancient: we're
currently at 4.2.9. I'm afraid that even the Krita Lime PPA doesn't support
18.04 anymore. You might be able to get a more up to date version from
kubuntu's backports repos, and if not, you probably should consider using the
appimage instead.
