Same here with version 5.5.5. My ~/.xsession-errors gets packed with those
messages and grows large.
The strange thing is that those messages continue after uninstalling kscreen
with
apt-get purge kscreen
and rebooting.
I also added the file ~/.config/QtProject/qtlogging.ini with the following
content:
[Rules]
kscreen.debug=false
Lots of messages from kscreen disappeared but
kscreen: Failed to retrieve current config: "Backend invalidated"
kscreen: Failed to retrieve current config: "Failed to prepare backend"
remain.
