The Linux server that provided these services was retired several years ago
(along with the need for said services). It would have been running whatever
the current stable samba version would have been from 2013-2016. Neither
Windows nor OSX were involved.
Sftp was provided by openssh's internal-sftp server, again, with the current
stable versions of openssh from 2013-2016.
If you can't reproduce, please close. I no longer have the infrastructure set
up to test this.
