Bug ID: 418127 Summary: After reboot, dual screens collapsed to one Product: KScreen Version: 5.17.5 Platform: Debian unstable OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: kcm Assignee: kscreen-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: kde-b...@ginguppin.de Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 126368 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=126368&action=edit wrong identification SUMMARY I got two monitors with different wallpapers and panels. After one of the latest updates, when logging in after a reboot, both monitors show the primary screen (wallpaper, panel, folder view). Due to Plasma bug of last year, that frequently shredded my configuration, both screens now are named DP-4 and DP-5 respectively When I open System Settings -> Display and Monitor -> Display Configuration things get weird: - the screen shown is DP-4, but clicking on "Identify" shows an overlay saying "DP-5" (s1.png) - I can move the square symbolizing the screen and move it, and behind it there's another one called DP-5 (s2.png) - once I hit apply, things are right again -- until the next reboot SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux 5050pc002 5.4.0-4-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 5.4.19-1 (2020-02-13) x86_64 GNU/Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.17.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.62.0 Qt Version: 5.12.5 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION NVIDIA Corporation GF119 [NVS 315] (rev a1) xserver-xorg-video-nvidia-legacy-390xx 390.132-2 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
