This is the behaviour that makes most sense to me as well.

And I guess even if at some point in the future all the wayland/nvdia/etc stuff
are figured out and the multi-head support in Plasma can be perfected, there
are always gonna be a few users who'd like to use some 'weird' configurations,
e.g. special panning/transform, which are not needed to be supported by Plasma
via GUI at all, but at the same time shouldn't be overridden by Plasma either.
If querying the current parameters is too much of a hassle, I reckon Plasma
should at least allow users to disable the KScreen settings.
