It should be rendered over the letter before the combining character but is rendered over the letter after the combining character. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open the attached text file in Kate OBSERVED RESULT Kate will render the diaeresis (dots) over the the b (like this: ub̈er) EXPECTED RESULT The diaeresis should be rendered over the u (like this: über).
