Either I did not understand your way to reproduce the problem or it is working
file on my end. I added some debug output to learn more.
Please clean all directories created in /tmp by run-kbibtex.sh and run this
bash script like before.
In your answer, please include the the complete output from the console, but
feel free to replace sensitive filenames or hostnames with 'xxxx'.
