I'm afraid we don't have the resources of a company like Google to implement
something like that.
And as I said, this proposal is pretty far out of scope for Spectacle.
Spectacle aspires to be a screenshot app. IMO if any app would be the right
place for this, it would be Skanlite, and that app would gain a "capture from
screen" mode or something. However not even Skanlite has OCR, so that may give
you an idea of our capacity to implement this kind of feature.
Sorry, I don't think we will be able to do this. Of course we welcome patches
if someone else wants to implement it. :)
