Bug ID: 413209 Summary: Kwin Virtual Desktop Reactivation Delay does not activate when using mouse, edge switching Product: frameworks-kwindowsystem Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: minor Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: kdelibs-b...@kde.org Reporter: danielscan...@hotmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY It seems that kde has been bugged for a while, and the reactivation delay does not actually do anything when returning to a desktop. I've tried configuring this differently on 3 kde setups, one today on 19.10. All suffer from this issue, even the LTS installs. I keep my compositor speed low, but I've tested that to see if it is an issue. For example: Desktop 1: Time it takes to switch to Desktop 2 on screen edge, 350ms (set in options to 350ms) Desktop 2: Time it takes to switch to Desktop 1 on screen edge, 1ms (set in options to 400ms) When returning from a desk STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Enable switch desktop on edge in screen edges 2. Set activation delay to 300ms or 900, or any. 3. Reactivation delay is always set > activation 4. Create a second desktop 5. Switch between them with mouse 6. For a greater effect, turn desktop wrap on. OBSERVED RESULT The mouse will return to your primary desktop instantly after you move to your second one, without the expected reactivation delay. No delay is observed. EXPECTED RESULT You expect to have a reactivation delay so that your cannot flick between desktops so easily.
