            Bug ID: 412807
Summary: Discover crashes -- segmentation fault
           Product: Discover
           Version: 5.16.5
          Platform: Neon Packages
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Updater
          Assignee: lei...@leinir.dk
          Reporter: davidbry...@gvtc.com
                CC: aleix...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
I hadn't started Neon in a few days (I'm running multiple versions of Linux on
one machine). When I booted it up today, the automatic updater said I had
updates to install.I said OK, Discover started up, I saw the wheel spinning for
about 2 seconds, and then it died with a segmentation fault.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Boot Neon
2. When automatic updater says "updates available" say "install then"
3. Discover runs for 2 seconds, then dies

OBSERVED RESULT
I tried, several times, to use the automatic bug reporting system to report
this crash. That runs OK for a while, then it asks me to install some missing
DEBUG packages. I say OK, but that never works. I get "the backtracking report
is useless". So I'm filing this bug report manually, from my Debian system.

EXPECTED RESULT
Automatic updater should fetch a bunch of updates and install them.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows:
macOS:
Linux/KDE Plasma:
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version:
KDE Frameworks Version:
Qt Version:

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I guess I'll read up on using "apt-get" to fetch the updates, and see if I can
get the updates installed that way.
