Now I got a working script to restore the relevant section in the configuration file automatically, without overwriting the entire file. It has build in logging for debugging, and should also take a backup of your full file, before modifying it. I almost lost my file 1 time, since I was working on the script without making a backup first. Doh! I could use some help getting the literal string replacement to work in bash, I had to do it in PHP, since escaping the relevant characters proved to be very difficult.
