But I noticed one thing: Gwenview also consumes a lot of memory and CPU time, particularly when there are more instances running. Thus I wonder if libraries used in Gwenview are used for preview in Dolphin too and thus might cause the huge memory usage. In many of the directories I explore in Dolphin there are quite a few media files, mostly pictures or videos and sometimes audio files. And is there a way to switch off all previews.
