Bug ID: 410443 Summary: No sound (mostly) when scrolling in preview or timeline Product: kdenlive Version: 19.04.3 Platform: MS Windows OS: MS Windows Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Video Display & Export Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org Reporter: czart.and...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY Most of the time, I have no sound when I'm scrolling in the preview window with my mouse wheel. The last kdenlive which is working is 18.12.2. In this version when I scroll in the preview window, the preview playback goes frame by frame, and the audio of that frame is played back. Also, when I drag the line of the current position in the timeline, the audio is working. With newer versions than 18.12.2, the audio playback is not working as it should: When 'm scrolling with the mouse wheel, or drag the line in the timeline, the audio is played back about every fifth frame. Mostly there is no sound. Also, in the middle of the screen on the right side, the sound bars show there is no sound: so when I scroll with the mousewheel, most of the time I hear no sound, and kdenlive indicated there is no sound in the soundbar, and in about every fifth frame I see and hear the sound of the frame. When I play back the clip or timeline, the video and audio is working perfectly. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Load a video clip (which countains sound) to the project bin and timeline. 2. Add the video clip to the timeline. 3. Hover the cursor to the Clip monitor or Project monitor window, and use the mouse wheel to play the video frame by frame. OBSERVED RESULT The video plays frame by frame, but most of the time there is no sound. EXPECTED RESULT The video should be played back frame by frame, and also the sound is played back which is under the current frame.
