The key thing is the setting in: System Settings/Widget Style/Fine Tuning/Menubar/Menubar style=Application Menu Widget When it's set to this value, the menu in the application will not appear. After changing to "In application" everything is ok. Also, this setting and the menu widget is something completely retarded. I found this Application Menu Widget in the widgets on the panel, it theoretically works, but it expands only the contents of the "File" menu. Other parts are not available - at least this is the situation in Konsole. Still, the problem with non-saved profiles remains.
