Bug ID: 408924 Summary: Plasma shows incorrect version number on startup screen, rather than installed version. Product: plasmashell Version: 5.16.1 Platform: Neon Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: minor Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: k...@davidedmundson.co.uk Reporter: argof...@sbcglobal.net CC: plasma-b...@kde.org Target Milestone: 1.0 SUMMARY Upon startup of the laptop into KDE Neon (User Edition), the black splash screen with the KDE/Plasma logo lists the computer as still using Plasma 5.15.1, rather than 5.15.5, 5.16.0 or 5.16.1 through my last few updates. The correct version (5.16.1 as of yesterday) shows on the Info screen, and when shutting down the system, the correct version of Plasma I have installed is listed on the same black/logo screen as what shows at startup. This is not a dire issue of any sort, but I wanted to ensure it was brought to your attention. The laptop I use is a Lenovo T420. I do not have a screenshot to show you, but will attempt to take a pictures with my cellphone if it will assist. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Turn on laptop, select KDE Neon at Grub 2. Wait for entry splash screen. 3. OBSERVED RESULT Screen shows Plasma 5.15.1 EXPECTED RESULT Expect to see Plasma 5.16.1 (my latest updated version) SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: 7 on separate partition Linux/KDE Plasma: Netrunner on separate partition, KDE Neon/Plasma version 5.16.1 (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.16.1 KDE Frameworks Version: Qt Version: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
