            Bug ID: 408243
Summary: It would be convenient to rename files directly from
                    kdenlive.
           Product: kdenlive
           Version: 19.04.1
          Platform: Ubuntu Packages
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: User Interface
          Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org
          Reporter: iticdig...@disroot.org
  Target Milestone: ---

When I make a film, I don’t watch the material in advance. I immediately load
everything into Kdenlive so that you can immediately watch and make markers
marking successful doubles. In the process of viewing, there is a desire to
rename a video, but if I do it, I’ll have to upload it to the project with a
new one and put a new marker on it, and so on.
I think it would be cool to be able to rename the video file directly from
kdenlive, so that it loses touch with the project.
(I know that inside kdenlive you can rename downloaded clips, but this is not
what you need. It does not affect the video file itself.)
