SUMMARY
I am running kdenlive version 15.12.3 under Linux Mint 18.3 Mate
When appyling a filter like brightness or gamma to a video clip if, I expect a
window to open in which I can adjust the parameters of the filter. But nothing
like that happens. When activating brightbess to a clip filter name appears in
the timeline and the project monitor turns black. Looks like brightness is set
to zero. Removing the filter brings monitor image back.
Same behavior with other filters. No way to set parameters.
A second strange behavior observed:
Mouseover to buttons opens an empty help box. Light yellow box but no text in
it.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. open clip and draw it to the timeline
2. draw effect (i.e. brightness) to the selected clip in timeline
3.
OBSERVED RESULT
Project monitor turns black
No possibility to adjust brightness level
EXPECTED RESULT
window to open where brightness can be adjusted
